Hello all who have stumbled onto my blog! I really hope you all are safe and well. Just being at home as made me think about my travels in the past few months. I’ve been planning on writing a post to expand on my trip to Bath with my boyfriend for our 2 year anniversary sharing the details about the hotel we stayed in. I’ve had this post in mind for months but life just got in the way and I didn’t have the time to write it – now I’ve had to slow down, I’ve got so much more time to write blog posts. So expect more from me!
For our Bath trip we booked through Hotels.com to stay at Apex City of Bath Hotel, and we were lucky enough to get a good deal for 3 night stay with breakfast included. We chose this hotel because it looks really nice on the website plus it’s near all the locations we wanted to visit; The Roman Baths, Bath Abbey and Thermae Bath Spa. We didn’t have to walk too far to get to these places and walked through the high street finding cute Christmas stores.

We travelled from London to Bath via coach and when we arrived to the hotel, we were greeted with the news that we had been upgraded to a Deluxe Room! A room which has a bedroom area with a king size bed and tv, a lounge area with a sofa, desk and tv and an en suite with a walk in shower and bath. This was a very nice little treat for us, we were able to relax and watch movies in bed and cuddle up on the sofa.
We made the most of the facilities offered, we had access to the Gym, Swimming Pool and Sauna and Steam rooms. Firstly we went to the gym, I actually hadn’t packed any of my gym trainers. I had a massive suitcase, full of various outfits and shoes but not trainers that I would want to wear to work out. So I pretty much went in there to do a little run, take pictures and watch my boyfriend work out!
When we went to the Swimming Pool, we were the only ones in there so we had the pool all to ourselves which was amazing. I didn’t bring a swimming cap so I wasn’t doing laps in the pool! Just had a little splash around and then relaxed in the Sauna room (also got some photos in there as well).
In terms of food in the hotel, dining at The Orange Artichoke, we had a full breakfast and one morning had a buffet breakfast and pretty much had all I could eat! Unfortunately, I didn’t get any pictures of our breakfast because I was just too tired in the morning to think about my phone and too hungry. But I did get photos of our dinner that we had on our last night in the hotel. We had ordered the Scallops and Smoked Bacon and the Salt and Pepper Calamari for our starters which was delicious.
Our hotel room was a cute spot for some indoor photoshoots – like I mentioned before I had over packed for our 3 night trip and I just didn’t want to waste any of my outfit ideas so I just spent some time dressing up and doing a shoot! I took photos on the sofa in the lounge area, in the front door area near the en suite and in the ensuite mirror. The last photo just below was taken in the bedroom on a little sofa beside the bed.
I had the most amazing stay at Apex Hotel and included a room tour in my Bath vlog and also what we got up to in Bath.
Thank you so much for reading,
Antonia
