Love is in the air! I really hope you all enjoyed the day and felt loved, appreciated and spread a little love and kindness. Connor and I rarely get to spend Valentine’s day together due to work but this year we were both off so we wanted to make the most of the week together. For our date night we went to Miller and Carter, we’ve been there before and enjoyed the food and cocktails and its not too far for us to get to.

For starters, I ordered Pan-Seared Scallops with White wine, Prosecco & seafood sauce, peas, crispy pancetta, straw fries – yummy! Connor got the Sticky Chipotle Chicken Bites with toasted sesame seeds which I had a little taste of – It wasn’t as spicy as I assumed (wanted) it to be but it was still delicious. For mains, I ordered the Surf and Turf – fillet with grilled lobster tails – this was what I was looking forward to! I don’t know how they season the lobster but this is something I need to learn so I can recreate this at home. Connor ordered the Miller’s Dirty Burger with pulled beef barbacoa béarnaise, smoked streaky bacon, Monterey Jack and chorizo.

We’ve officially started the journey of getting a house together! Literally the best reason to celebrate and I’m so excited for the next couple months. I will be sharing our progress soon – I’ve been so busy sorting out all the paperwork and all the viewings but I will be doing a lot more posts on our home journey. All I’m currently talking about is the home and now it’s what I’ll be posting about too – I apologise in advance!
